Baptist Build 2012
Bringing Congregations
Together for Construction and
Community-Building
PHBC is joining forces with 12+ Baptist churches across the community in this collaborative venture to construct a house while building community. The first date for construction is set for February 18. We are also seeking to partner with a specific church: North Winston Baptist which is in the Mineral Springs community. Contact John Carroll for details on how you can be involved!
A Note from John Carroll
Thank you emails have been received from the Furniture Bank of Ottawa in Canada and from the Harrells (Sam and Melody). PHBC sent $2,000 to the Furniture Bank of Ottawa, which is run by Marc and Kim Wyatt. These funds should be sufficient to support their work for approximately one full month.
We have also sent $4,909.43 to the Harrells. A portion of these funds will be used to build and distribute family-sized bio-sand filters this summer. The remaining funds will be used for water development at the next Child Development Center built by the Harrells in Kenya.
The Wyatts as well as the Harrells are Mission Field Personnel with The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship …. Our primary partner for global/national/state mission engagement.
Thanks for your dedication to missions engagement and to the work of God in our midst, in our community, and around the world!
